KBShimmer Totally Tubular + Sally Hansen Fairy Teal

KBShimmer Totally Tubular (index and middle fingers) has blue, red-violet, and turquoise glitter in a teal crelly base. I used 3 coats. The formula was good, but just a tad thin. I had to dab a bit to get the bigger glitters out, but didn't have much trouble doing so. I recommend setting the polish upside-down before using it in order to get a lot of glitter on each application. It dried satin so I used top coat.

Sally Hansen Fairy Teal (ring and pinky fingers) is a dusty, deep teal creme. I used 2 coats. The formula was great! It was very pigmented and applied easily even with the big paddle brush. I think the paddle brush goes well with curved nails because I've never had problems using it. A word of caution: this one stains badly! Definitely make sure to use at least 2 coats of base coat. It dried shiny, but I still used top coat. I'm not sure if Fairy Teal is in the revamped Complete Salon Manicure line, but I think I remember seeing the same or similar color the last time I was at the drugstore.

China Glaze Glistening Snow + Nails Inc. Noho

China Glaze Glistening Snow (index and middle fingers) is a dense, holographic silver glitter. Think of it as a full-coverage version of the beloved Fairy Dust! I used 3 coats. The formula was good and easy to control. I've had this for several months to a year now, which is when I generally find many of my China Glazes to have dried up a little. I noticed this one didn't escape the same fate when I applied it, but it's nothing some thinner can't fix! :) It dried very gritty so I used 3 coats top coat.

Nails Inc. Noho (ring and pinky fingers) is a black that produces a leather effect once it dries. The leather effect is much smoother than the texture effect. I think it'll be great for people who don't like how rough the texture effect is. I used 2 coats. The formula was amazing! It was the standard Nails Inc. formula: very pigmented, buttery, and easy to control and apply. The effect materialized soon after application. It dried quickly. I didn't use top coat in order to preserve the finish.

Several weeks ago, I met up with two of my closest high school friends. It was wonderful to see them both again, and I'm so happy that they are well and doing what they want to in their lives! :D They have decided to take Life by its hand and run with it into the future, the unknown.

One of my friends was able to sleepover for the night. Of course, we decided to do our nails late at night. (I need to stop doing that with my friends... Sleeping at 3 am is only good during the school year because you can squeeze in some more studying time. For science and health care!)  We both wanted to do something simple; I decided on a loose glitter gradient and polka dots while she decided on wispy gold feather stamps.

For my look, I was inspired by the Korean nail art I saw on instagram. A lot of the manis were simple and refreshing, yet still cute. I used Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue (from the old Complete Salon Manicure line) as my base and Wet 'n Wild French White Creme (or was it Zoya Purity?) and my second smallest dotting tool for the polka dots. I applied a coat of top coat and then dumped a little of the loose, holographic star glitter that was from Daiso Japan onto my nails. The arms liked to stick out and kept scratching me, but the stars were so pretty!

My friend wanted to try out stamping so I had to practice on scratch paper before doing her nails. (Stamping is actually still a novel contraption even to me!) She ended up redoing her nails and stamping the feathers herself the next day, but over a peachy nude base. (Good, I didn't want her to go out with that horrible handiwork of mine!) However, I only have pictures of her first mani. For this look, I also used Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue for the base. I heard metallics worked well with stamping (which is true by the way) so I used Essie Good as Gold for the feathers. ...I think I should stamp more often so I can become a stamping master (much like Ash becoming a Pokemon master).

I really enjoyed the short hang-out with my good high school friends! Hopefully, we have time in our schedules to meet up again. :)

Revlon Whimsical + Sally Hansen Barracuda

Revlon Whimsical (index and middle fingers) has rosy pink, sky blue, and iridescent glitter in a very sheer, pale blue base that's greenish. It's so, so pretty! I already knew Whimsical was going to be extremely sheer when I purchased it so I wasn't disappointed when I wore it. I used 3 coats. The formula was good and easy to control. I needed to dab a little in order to get the bigger glitters out, but it wasn't a big deal. :) It dried shiny. With top coat.

Sally Hansen Barracuda (ring and pinky fingers) is a wispy sky blue creme. I used 3 coats. The formula was really good! I found it easy to apply and control the polish even with the huge brush that the Complete Salon Manicure line is notorious for. It dried shiny. With top coat.

Rimmel Violet Swizzle + Hare Polish Pegasus

Rimmel Violet Swizzle (index and middle fingers) is a textured, frosty light purple with red undertones. I used 4 coats, but I think I could have gotten away with 3. The formula was good and easy to control. It's somewhat sheer and the texture took a bit of time to materialize though. It has a very wide brush that's a bit similar to those in Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure line, which some people have trouble using. I had no problems though. It dried fairly quick. I didn't use top coat in order to preserve the textured finish.

Hare Polish Pegasus (ring and pinky fingers) has a mix of silver hex glitter in a pale lavender crelly base. It's super delicate and such a darling polish. Why didn't I get it sooner?! I used coats 3. The formula was thin (but not runny! :D) and easy to apply. I'd say it had a nice formula. It dried very shiny, but I still used top coat. I got Pegasus from Hare Polish's Etsy store.
