Les Nail Smiths: February 2015 - Something Pink

Self-purchased

Welcome to LNS' February 2015 installment! I'm so happy I can participate this month! I had the honor of choosing this month's theme, and decided on "something pink". It's an easy prompt that allows both Millie and I a lot of flexibility. We're also not big on Valentine's Day either. I decided to do a swatch of a polish I really adore.

Aliquid Lacquer Cherry Festival is a cute mix of gold and red hex glitter and gold shimmer in a cool-toned pink crelly base. I was sooo happy when I found out about this polish because it's a good alternative to Femme Fatale Strawberry Shake 'Em, which was discontinued. Furthermore, the brand is based in Australia so shipping would be over-the-top! Anyway, I used 3 coats. The formula was sheerer than I expected, but really good because it was easy to apply and fishing for glitter wasn't necessary. The glitter was also evenly distributed on the nail. It dried a wee bit gritty so I used top coat to smooth it out and add some shine.

You can purchase Cherry Festival here.

Don't forget to check out Millie's bacon-licious post for this month's prompt!

Thanks for looking! See you on the other side of the day!
