Lights of Paris

Today, I have a post from the vault! I actually did Lights of Paris before my trip to France last summer when I was figuring out what to wear on my nails. (In the end, I did a different mani that I will recreate one day.) I ended up forgetting/being too embarrassed about it to post it (it's a fail mani), but now I think it's a shame not to post it. Without further ado, I present to you Lights of Paris!

For Lights of Paris, I wanted a gradient of glitter and stars falling on a blue sky. The Eiffel Tower accented my ring finger. I didn't want a dark background, though, since some of the places on the itinerary may have prohibited dark polishes. I figured using light or nude colors was the way to go. I used Barry M Greenberry as my base and NYX Girls Dreamy Glitter for the gradient. I fished out the pink stars so I could have more control over their placements. I used a white striper for the Eiffel Tower.

As mentioned earlier, I thought this mani was a failure. I wasn't able to achieve the look I had in mind. :( The Eiffel Tower doesn't even remotely resemble the real deal either. The mani ended up looking like something from The Little Mermaid with an out-of-place Japanese garden shrine. I'm glad that I gave the idea a shot though!

Thanks for looking! See you on the other side of the day!
